BELOGRADCHIK ROCKS AND VENETSA CAVE TOUR - All year round

  The area of Belogradchik rocks is extremely beautiful and majestic – the flora surrounding this place includes many rare species typical for the Balkans and written in the Red book of Bulgaria. The scale of this natural formation is absolutely worthy of admiration and the rocks are not accidentally a world standard for extraordinarily beautiful landscape. The rocks of Belogradchik were nominated to the World "New 7 Wonders of Nature" campaign in 2007 and long time they were leading in their category "Caves, rock formations and valleys".
  The meeting place for this tour is behind St. Alexander Nevski and the departure is 08:30 o’clock sharp. The driving time is 3 hours across the northwestern mountainous roads of the country. At around 11:30 o’clock our Belogradchik fairytale starts – we will see Kaleto Fortress which is one of the most preserved fortresses in Bulgaria and will enjoy the rocks itself. Every stone here has a history and a legend full of suffering and heroism to explain the incredible stone beauty.
  Of course you will have free time for lunch and break after which will visit one more natural phenomenon – Venetsa cave (14 km away from Belogradchik). The cave is extremely beautiful because of its calcite formations. The walk here will be around 30 minutes. We come back to Sofia around 18:30h.
