KOPRIVSHTITSA TOUR - EVERY THURSDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY

  Koprivshtitsa is one of the most charming Bulgarian small towns, still preserving the atmosphere of the Bulgarian National Revival period of the 19th century. Koprivshtitsa is a captivating mountain town, unique with its cobblestone streets, houses painted in bright colors with expansive verandahs and picturesque eaves. The city is extremely suitable and pleasant for walks. This tour is very easygoing and enjoyable since the programme includes only Koprivshtitsa for visitation – thus you will be able to feel the atmosphere of this beautiful historic town and to feel the spirit of old Bulgaria.
  The driving time is around 2 hours one way along a scenic road in the Balkan. The meeting point is behind St. Alexander Nevski at 09:30 o’clock. Our walking tour in Koprivshtitsa will start at 11:30 o’clock through which you will see the most interesting houses in the city – Lyutov’s House – one of the most impressive examples of the architecture of this period, Todor Kableshkov’s House – the Chairman of the Secret Revolutionary Committee of Koprivshtitsa grew up in this house, Dimcho Debelianov’s House – a poet who wrote some of the most tender poems in Bulgarian literature.
  Then you will have free time for lunch – here is the best place to taste traditional Bulgarian dishes like shkembe chorba, shopska salad, shashlik or guivedje.
  After your lunch we can continue our tour and to see also the first gun and Uspenie Bogorodichno church or you can choose to spend your free time to look at some of the craft stands in the center or to buy a souvenir for a present.
  Our trip will finish in Sofia with an expected time of arrival – around 18:00 o’clock.
